SAT Classes

The SAT is comprised of two sections: Reading/Writing and Math. Each section also contains two modules. Module 1 has a wide array of questions that range in difficulty. Module 2 is an adaptive module, meaning that questions will be presented based upon how a student performed on Module 1. Just like how the SAT adapts its questions to each individual student, we adapt our classes to the needs of each individual student. With a maximum class size of 12, each student will receive an individualized testing analysis for both the Reading/Writing and Math sections of the SAT. This testing analysis will determine the content and strategies covered during our classes.

Our SAT Course Method

Our SAT class is designed to help students improve upon their SAT test-taking skills regardless of their current SAT level. Rather than taking a test during class, students come to class with the test already completed. That way, we can spend more class time working on improving and mastering skills. During our classes, students will receive an in-depth analysis of their current testing skills with recommendations about what to work on in the future. They will gain the insights, the practice, and the mastery in various ways during our class time.

Our classes have a maximum class size of 12 students. This ensures that each student receives the individual attention they need while still being motivated by their peers around them. We practice with offical SAT tests and all students receive numerous resources (worksheets, quizzes, handouts, and PowerPoints) during class as well.

ACT vs SAT

Our test-prep instructors are extensively trained in both the ACT and SAT formats, content, and testing strategy. We offer group classes and individual tutoring sessions for both the ACT and the SAT. Both exams are widely accepted by colleges and universities, so the decision on whether to take the ACT or the SAT is fully dependent on the student’s preferences.

With many recent changes on both exams, we highly recommend students compare the two testing formats to see which test better suits their strengths. For example, on the ACT, the Math portion is worth 33% of a student's overall score; however, on the SAT, the Math portion is worth 50% of a student's overall score. Some students prefer the longer time-per-question allotted on the SAT while others prefer the shorter question lengths on the ACT. Check out our helpful links pages for both the ACT and SAT to view practice tests for both exams.
